GOURMET laser-cut knives are crafted in the companys factory in Germany. Well-balanced and durable, GOURMET knives are made of high-carbon stainless steel. GOURMET knives feature a new handle design made of a highly durable synthetic material Polyoxymethylene (POM) which has a tighter molecular structure to resist fading and discoloration. The GOURMET 4 1/2″ Cheese Knife is designed to cut through a magnitude of cheeses from brie to parmesan. The special etching on the blade prevents the cheese from sticking. The flat edge provides more contact with the cutting board and precise control.
